Bio & The Practice

Upon Dr. Young's arrival in Charlottesville, he was employed by the Department of Pharmacology as a research scientist at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.  He is published in the journal "Proceedings on the National Academy of Sciences". During that period of time, Dr. Young also became employed as a dental associate in a small practice close to the University of Virginia.  Shortly thereafter he opened his own solo dental practice at 11th and West Main Street, walking distance from the UVA Hospital.

After many years of practice in the same location, Dr. Young's office lease was terminated and the building was sold.  He has built a new office at his current location, across Hydraulic Road from Albermarle High School in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Dr. Young enjoys spending time with his wife Kim, and three children Ashley, Jackson, and Grant.  Their leisure activities include hiking, fishing, boating, canoeing, and golfing.  He also enjoys watching Redskins Football, and UVA Basketball.  Dr. Young is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, Shenandoah Valley Component and the Charlottesville Albermarle Dental Society.  He also volunteers his time doing dental treatment for patients of the Charlottesville Free Clinic.
